Charlotte’s Web for the Performing Arts
Charlotte’s Web presents diverse music performances, especially folk, jazz, and blues.

Kantorei
Since 1964 Kantorei, the Singing Boys of Rockford, has provided quality music education to boys 7-18; the Performing Choir performs locally and internationally, and Training and Cadet Choirs serve the younger boys.

MetroCentre
The MetroCentre has been Rockford's home to world-class entertainment and sporting events since 1981. With events such as Walking with Dinosaurs, Toby Keith, Cher, Motley Crue, Disney on Ice, Harlem Globetrotters, Monster Trucks, Rodeos, AHL IceHogs Hockey and Raptors Indoor Football the MetroCentre has something for everyone!

CoronadoPerforming Arts Center

Rockford’s Crown Jewel, the historic Coronado Theatre, now operated by the Coronado Performing Arts Center, NFP (CPAC) is an anchor for downtown and home to the “Coronado Presents…” series, Broadway at the Coronado, the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, the Rockford Dance Company, the Rockford Coronado Concert Association and the Land of Lincoln Theater Organ Society.  In addition, the Coronado hosts numerous concerts, community events, high school and college graduations, wedding receptions and corporate meetings.

Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center
Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center presents an annual concert series by local and world-renowned artists, provides workshops, scholarships, choral groups and a recital series for young musicians, and maintains a membership of performing and supporting members.

On the Waterfront
This nationally award-winning event is Illinois’ largest music festival. Held each Labor Day weekend, the three-day event brings together music, food and fun.  Encompassing over 30 blocks of downtown Rockford, there is music to satisfy everyone’s tastes.

Rockford Coronado Concert Association
The Rockford Coronado Concert Association presents a five-concert subscription season featuring world-class artists.  The classical, semi-classical, and dance performances are held at the historic Coronado Theatre in downtown Rockford.  For more information visit the Coronado Performing Arts Center.

Rockford Dance Company
The Rockford Dance Company hosts three performances throughout the year featuring area and professional dancers, including an annual holiday program. They also offer ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance classes for students of all ages.

Rockford Symphony Orchestra
Each season, the Rockford Symphony Orchestra brings spirited performances by Rockford’s own talented symphony orchestra plus guest appearances by nationally known artists to the renovated Coronado Theatre.

Summerwood
Summerwood brings some of today’s finest Christian musicians and communicators to its outdoor ampitheatre each summer.

Children's Theater Project / Youth Theater Project

Main Street Players of Boone County
The Main Street Players of Boone County is a community theater group that presents four productions annually at the Community Building complex of Boone County.

Rockford College Theatre
Rockford College has two theaters, Maddox Theatre and Cheek Theatre, offering fall and spring productions performed by students under the instruction of our professional faculty and staff. Two 3-penny productions a term are done only by the students, and admission is 3 pennies.

Starlight Theatre
Starlight Theatre, the longest-running summer theatre program in the Rockford area, draws an average of 23,000 people to the Rock Valley College campus each June and July to watch favorite musicals under a canopy of twinkling stars.

Storefront Cinema
Storefront Cinema, located in Riverfront Museum Park, is the region’s only alternative theater, showcasing important foreign, classic, documentary, independent, and American films, with a Children’s International Film Festival each spring.

Studio Theatre at Rock Valley College
During the fall and spring semesters, Rock Valley College sponsors a Studio Theatre program, giving students and amateur actors in the area a chance to perform with guest professionals in plays such as Wings, Black Coffee, and 1940’s Radio Hour. Each year the Studio Theatre presents a William Shakespeare classic.
