• Water division installs meters in new homes.
• Replacement and repairs to a meter are at no cost to the customer unless the meter is not properly protected. The home owner will be subject to a replacement cost.
• Meters are read every month and a bill is sent 30 days after the read. Accounts not read or where there is a malfunction will be estimated for the month.
• Owners are billed for water consumption and a monthly charge for rubbish.
New Radio Frequency Meters (RFM) allow the Water Division to read the meter from the street, without entering private property. These are installed at no charge.
