Police Department
The Rockford Police Department is responsible for law enforcement, preserving peace, crime prevention, traffic control, and protection of civil rights and liberties.

Fire Department
The Fire Department is reponsible for responding to fire and medical emergencies, as well as natural disasters and hazardous chemical emergencies.  Prevention and education are key components of the Department's work.

911
The 911 Division of the Fire Department is responsible for taking emergency 911 and non-emergency calls for Rockford and Winnebago County, including Loves Park and South Beloit.

Winnebago County Sheriff's Department
The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department enforces laws in Winnebago County, as well as providing correctional services.

Parking Tickets
Parking tickets are issued by Rockford Police or Parking Enforcement Officers.

Alarm Info
Security alarms in the City must be licensed, and fines apply to false alarms that our emergency staff must respond to.

Crimestoppers
Crimestoppers is a program that brings residents, law enforcement, the media, and civic leaders in order to prevent crime.  They offer rewards to citizens that provide information that leads to an arrest.

Youth Programs
The Rockford Police and Fire Departments offer safety programs for Rockford youth.

Senior Programs
The Police and Fire Departments also offer programming for Rockford's senior population.

Citizens Corp
The Citizens Corp is a volunteer group that assists local responders in the event of an emergency, they also respond to disaster situations.

Emergency Management
The Rockford Fire Department serves as the Emergency Services Disaster Agency for the City.
